On September 9 2020, the SA Government passed the Single-use and Other Plastic Products (Waste Avoidance) Act 2020. Leading the way, South Australia was the first state/territory in Australia to pass a legislation in an effort to make a positive leap towards reducing single-use plastics. Exemptions to the ban can be found here.
