The WA Governement has divided the plastics ban into two stages. Stage 1, which came into effect January 1st 2022, with enforcement of the new laws begining July 1st 2022. Stage 2 planned commenced February 2023 with enforcement begining July 2023. The time between the two dates is the grace period to allow businesses to work through stock already on hand.
